WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Our story started in the 1940’s when Gerald and Elisabeth (Lovey) Blake moved out of the city to Armada to become farmers. With no experience in growing apples, Gerald, a war veteran, rolled up his sleeves and risked everything to make his dream a reality. 13 kids, 30 grandkids and 30 great grandkids later the farm has grown into a destination for all ages with a Cider Mill, Tasting Room, Brewery, Funland, Greenhouse, and home of the fastest growing cider company in the Midwest.

Our team spent months in research/development creating a cider and packaging that told a story of family and tradition with our hard cider spin on it. Our Lead Designer, Salina Matthews, says she was inspired by an “Americana” design direction that tied 7 decades of hard work to a dessert staple such as apple pie. She wanted the package to pop yet still feel cozy, and like home. Production experimented with a variety of spices to ring forth the right profile and aroma that would remind our customers of fresh-baked apple pie. At first crack you’ll immediately detect a sweet vanilla pastry pie crust aroma. The flavor profile is balanced with sweetness from dessert apples and a hint of spice from cinnamon and nutmeg. We are so proud to honor the farm that is the foundation to our company and provides the fruits that make it all possible, and we are grateful to be able to share a slice with you!

Drink it on its own, add a shot of your favorite whiskey or bourbon, or serve it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
